Bugey

Bugey is a little know wine region, where the majority of the production is consumed locally. It covers 500 hectares bordering the Rhone, between Jura and Savoie. Of the 180 wine makers, only 80 grow vines exclusively, the others being more diversified farmers.
Of particular note is the AOC Bugey Cerdon, a light (~ 8%) sparkling Rose wine.
